Ingredients for 4 people

  • 50cl of mead (1/2 dry or dry)
  • 150g sugar (white or brown)
  • 1 orange juice
  • 1 vanilla pod

Preparation

  • In a measuring cup, add water to the orange juice until you obtain 25 cl of liquid,
  • Pour this liquid into a saucepan, add the sugar, mix,
  • Add the mead,
  • Bring the mixture to a boil,
  • Turn off the heat, add the split vanilla pod,
  • Allow to cool,
  • Pour into a flat-bottomed plastic container,
  • Put in the freezer for 4 to 5 hours,
  • Every ½ hour, break up the preparation with a fork so that it does not freeze and gradually takes on a granitic appearance,
  • Divide into several bowls and serve.
