This mead is a tribute to Freyja, one of the greatest goddesses of Nordic and Germanic mythology. Freyja was the goddess of Love, Beauty and Fertility.
The beautiful, intense pink colour of this mead is achieved through a long maceration and the red fruits that are used in its composition.
A multi-stage filtration gives it a crystalline appearance.
Freja mead develops aromas of red currants and cherries.
The sweetness balanced by the acidity of the macerated berries offers a light and fresh palate with a pleasant and persistent finish.
This mead can be enjoyed chilled like a rosé wine, with light meals such as pâtés, soft cheeses, grilled fish and pasta. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a prelude to a romantic evening.
