North Mead Blackberry Mead is made by macerating blackberries in mead. No blackberry liqueur or juice is added; the blackberries are macerated directly in the mead.

This cuvée of arranged mead is the tastiest of the range and our favourite in terms of flavour. But it's up to you to make up your own mind, for example by tasting the different products in the discovery box.

The blackberry adds a sweetness (without being overly present like in a liqueur) which adds to the deliciousness of the residual honey in the mead.

The resultingmead is complex without being heavy. The blackberry scent is clearly present on the nose and the taste on the palate is reminiscent of this red fruit.

You'll enjoy this blackberry mead well chilled, neat as an aperitif or as a base for kir white wine or champagne.
